Computing in EYFS
- Interact and explore their environment using a range of multimedia equipment
- Explore ways of listening to sounds using simple programs and devices.
- Use a shortcut such as an icon on the desktop to navigate to a specific website.
- Explore a teacher-selected website to find a desired page, using hyperlinks and navigation buttons.
- Be aware that digital devices e.g., thermometers, metal detectors, and sound monitors can be used to show external changes.
Computing in Key stage 1
The Purple Mash KS1 Computing Scheme of Work provides a comprehensive curriculum focusing on computer science (algorithms, coding), IT (data, presenting), and digital literacy (online safety). It features 6-8 flexible, color-coded units per year using tools like 2Code and 2Go, supported by interactive lesson plans, videos, and assessment tools.
Computing in Key stage 2:
Our KS2 Computing curriculum is exciting, rich, relevant and challenging. Pupils have access to a variety of high quality hardware, software and unplugged resources which equip our children with the capability to use technology throughout their lives. We teach our pupils to become responsible, respectful and competent users of data, information and communication technology. Online safety has a high profile and is threaded throughout the Computing curriculum.
